Melissa Adams Seely, 56, a resident of Berwick, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Melissa was born on December 14, 1969, in Franklin, the daughter of Zane Arlin Adams and Brenda Governale.
Melissa will always be lovingly remembered for her vibrant personality and kind heart. Known by her family as “Meme,” she held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews, showering them with affection and love. Her love extended beyond her family to her beloved pets, whom she cherished as her own children.An avid fan of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, Melissa had a passion for wrestling that brought her endless joy and excitement. In her earlier years, she also enjoyed her trips to the casino, fishing with her husband, and making jewelry. Deeply rooted in her faith, Melissa was a strong Catholic who prayed her rosary daily, reflecting her steadfast belief and devotion. Her compassionate spirit and kind heart touched everyone she met, creating a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 19 years, Gerry Seely; two sisters, Lindie Pittman and husband Lloyd Pittman III, Erin Toups and husband Perry Toups Sr.; nieces and nephews, Michael Carbonell Jr., Christopher Carbonell, Sarah Carbonell Wasiloski, Ashlyn Pittman, Perry Toups Jr., and Dylan Toups; numerous great nieces and nephews; godmother, Cathy Jett; aunt, Dolores Henry.
Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Zane Adams and Brenda Governale.
Funeral services will be held, at 12:00 pm, Monday, June 15, 2026, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held, Monday, June 15, 2026, at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00am until the time of services. After services, Melissa will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
