Obituary

Mona Bonner Morgan, 74, a resident of Centerville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mona was born August 6, 1952, the daughter of Avis Givens Bonner and Emory Leonard Bonner.

Mona dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker, crafting a lifetime of beautiful memories with her beloved husband, Randolph Morgan. Together, they shared many adventures, from fishing trips to some unforgettable vacations in their younger years. She enjoyed shopping and it was one of her favorite hobbies. Mona’s spirit thrived in the company of those she loved most—her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—who brought her endless joy and motivation. A proud parishioner of the Central Baptist Church in Patterson, Mona’s faith led her to embark on a mission trip to Mexico, reflecting her deep commitment to service and community, that she often shared stories about.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Randolph J. Morgan; two sons, George Morgan, Emory Morgan and wife Dana; brother, Kirk Bonner and wife Susan; five grandchildren, Abigail Sheehan and husband Chase, EmmaRae Leonard and husband Sy, Lana Morgan, Randolph Morgan, and Aimee Morgan; six great-grandchildren, Adeline Sheehan, Andrew Sheehan, Evelyn Sheehan, Gideon Leonard, LydiaRae Leonard, Esther Leonard.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Avis and Emory Bonner; sister, Carol Ann Bonner; brother, Francis Leonard Bonner; great-grandchild, A.J. Sheehan.

A memorial visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church in Patterson, on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 3:00 p.m., until the time of services at 5:00 p.m., with Pastor Caleb Silvertooth officiating.
