Nancy Gros Aucoin

Nancy Gros Aucoin, 66, a resident of Amelia, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at Ochsner St. Mary.

Nancy was born July 19, 1955, in Napoleonville, the daughter of Andrew Gros and Denise Blanchard Gros.

Nancy was the life of the party; she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, dancing, and having a good time. Nancy never met a stranger and once she befriended you, you were a friend forever. Nancy’s husband absolutely spoiled her, and they created a beautiful life together; children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were her world.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, William “Nitty” Aucoin of Amelia, five children, Amanda Rivere and husband Eugene of Amelia, Casey Gros of Amelia, Jamie Hotard of Berwick, Shelley Aucoin of Berwick, and Lacey Gros of Amelia; 8 siblings, Andrew Gros and wife Ethel of Amelia, David Gros and wife Leshia of Pierre Part, Gloria Landry of Pierre Part, Sherryl Doiron of Amelia, Dorothy Gros and husband Jean of Labadieville, Tommy Gros of Houma, Mary Espianal of Amelia, LeeAnn Gros and husband Albert of Morgan City; 10 grandchildren, Kayla Gros and husband Jason, Jamie Freia and husband Tony, Marki Rivere, Matti Rivere, Rayne Hotard, Kobe Streva, Miley Hotard, Drake LaCoste, Zachary Villatoro, and Donovan LaCoste; 9 great-grandchildren, Tayler, Jillian, Luke, Jayce, McKenzie, Jaxon, Drayden, Brayleigh, and Charlotte; father-in-law, William Aucoin; mother-in-law, Enola Aucoin; sister-in-laws, Ellen Aucoin, Deborah Rodriquez, and Angela Tullier; numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Denise Gros; great-grandson, Janson Belanger; sister-in-laws, Sandra Beniot and Denise Gros; brother-in-law’s, Henry Landry, Donnie Espianal, and Brent Doiron.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021 St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia with Father Joseph Chacko officiating. Visitaiton will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Twin City Funeral Home, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

After Mass, Nancy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
