Nancy Theresa Mitchell

Nancy Theresa Mitchell, 71, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Ochsner Jefferson. 

Nancy was born April 7, 1953, the daughter of James “Jimmy” Mitchell Sr. and Marjorie “Margie” Aucoin Mitchell. 

Nancy was always the life of the party, and she enjoyed spending time with family. 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, Jared Duplechin and significant other Sherrie Reed, Francis Semmens and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Dominique Dupre, Brooklyn Martin, Jae’ Duplechin, Braily Arabie, Daymon Porrovecchio, Dylan Semmens; siblings, Bill Stevens, Darrel Stevens and wife Tammy, Jimmy Mitchell Jr.; Niece, Georgette Arnaudville; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Margie Mitchell; daughter, Erica Stubbs; two sisters, Linda Stevens and Veronica Mitchell; brother, Chris Mitchell.
