Nick Joseph Jackson, 38, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away July 18, 2021.
Nick was born October 30, 1982, in Morgan City, the son of Dean Hugo Jackson and Angela Fangue Anselmo.
Nick was a diesel mechanic in the Navy, working on submarines for 19 years. He was the proud father of 3 boys, who were his world. Nick enjoyed anything dealing with the outdoors; he worked as a commercial fisherman once retiring from the Navy.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Dean Jackson and wife Stacy of Morgan City and Angela Fangue Anselmo and husband Robert of Texas; three sons, Gildon, James, and Anthony Jackson, all of Morgan City; six siblings, Chris Jackson and wife Kellie of Morgan City, Mariah Jackson of Morgan City, Jeffery Jackson and wife Sarah of Texas, Katherine Lewis and husband Tre of Texas, Sarah Jackson of Morgan City, Cameron Jackson of Morgan City; grandmother, Betty Jackson of Morgan City; paternal uncle, Robert Jackson of Morgan City; paternal aunts, Zonia "Nan" Turner and husband Gene of Morgan City, Nicki Sauce and husband Rafe of Morgan City; maternal uncles, Edward Fangue Jr, David Fangue and wife Becky, all of Morgan City; Daniel Fangue, of Texas.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alton Jackson, Nora Hinkle, and William Hinkle.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Twin City Funeral Home with Father Thainese Alphonse officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home, and then again Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Nick will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Patterson.
