Patricia Aucoin Chaisson

August 23, 1933 — January 8, 2023

Patricia “Sweet Mama” Ann Aucoin Chaisson, 89, a resident of Amelia, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 8, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born August 23, 1933, the daughter of Paul Aucoin and Alberta Breaux.  

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Bryan Sr. and Sarah, Nolan Jr. and Nadine, Nathalie and Patti, Michael, Ray Sr. and Sandy, Denise, Julius and Paula, James Sr.; son-in-law, William Johnston, two daughters-in-law, Laurel Chaisson and Lynette Chaisson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Alberta Aucoin; husband, Nolan Chaisson Sr.; two sons, Wallace Chaisson, and Ronnie Chaisson, daughter, Suzette Chaisson Johnston; grandson, Wallace Chaisson; granddaughter, Sissy Chaisson; step-mother, Rosa Mae; three brothers, David, Clarence, and Joseph; sister, Olive Broussard 

Pallbearers will be Bryan Jr., Shawn, Nolan Leon, Ray Jr., William IV, Nolan III, Blake, and Grant. Honorary pallbearers will be James Jr., Kenny A, Alvarez, and Kayden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Amelia with Father Gregory Fratt officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Twin City Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Twin City Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. After Mass, Patricia will be laid to rest in the St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery.
