Reginald “Reggie” J. Sampey, born July 10, 1943, a native of Morgan City, LA, and a lifelong resident of Berwick, LA, passed away January 17, 2026.
Reggie was a huge LSU fan and enjoyed watching LSU sporting events. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and sports.
Reggie will be sadly missed by his children, Blair J. Sampey (Angela), and Amber Terrebonne; four grandchildren, Alexis (Jude), Regan (Kyle), Kennedy, and Conner; great-granddaughter, Andi; two sisters, Joy Fuge and Rosie Selph. Reggie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deanna Sampey; his parents, Herman and Rita Sampey; sister, Sue Boudreaux.
The family would like to thank Maison Jardin for their care of Reggie over the last two and a half years.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Blair Sampey, Conner Terrebonne, Jude Williams, Kyle Crochet, Andy Black, Steve Russo, and Terry Gilmore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Father Sal Istre officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Twin City Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. After Mass, Reggie will be laid to rest with his wife, Deanna, in the Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum.
