Ronald “Ronnie” Jude Blanchard, 73, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronnie was born on May 9, 1953, in Morgan City to Theresa Alcina Blanchard and Adam Blanchard. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many people throughout his life. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and warmth he shared with everyone around him. He enjoyed drag racing, boating, fishing, and camping and especially loved spending time with his family.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Raymond Blanchard, of 52 years; his children, Bryan Blanchard and wife, Stephanie, and Brent Blanchard and wife, Bonnie; his grandchildren, Taylor Blanchard, Olivia Blanchard, Blake Blanchard, Tanner Weber, and Nate Weber; his siblings, A. J. Blanchard and wife, Celina, and Lynette Weber and husband, Ricky; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Blanchard; his mother, Theresa Alcina Blanchard; his father-in-law, Sidney Raymond; and his mother-in-law, Nonnie Raymond.

Ronnie may be gone from our sight, but his love, laughter, and memory will remain in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M., with services at 10:00 A.M., followed by a Christian burial at Morgan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, if desired.
