Shane Thomas Martin, born on December 6, 1970, passed away on July 3, 2026. Born and raised in Morgan City, Louisiana, Shane lived his life with a full heart, an adventurous spirit, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Above all else, Shane cherished his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He embraced every moment, lived life to the fullest, and never missed an opportunity to celebrate with the people he loved. His generous heart, contagious laughter, and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Shane is survived by his parents, Barbara Martin and Ronald Martin Jr.; his sister, Jennifer Breaux; his daughters, Kaccie Sons and Kiela Badeaux; his son-in-law, Steven Sons; Kiela's significant other, Zachary Gardemal; his niece, Cameron Breaux, and her fiancé, Gregory Businelle; and his four cherished grandchildren: Joycie Bay Sons, Grayson Kyle Thomas Sons, Willow Grace Sons, and Zander Wayne Gardemal.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald Thomas Martin Sr., Noelia Martin, and Audrey Thomas.

A memorial service to celebrate Shane's life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life that was lived with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.

Shane lived and loved wholeheartedly. His greatest wish would be for those who knew and loved him to carry that same spirit forward—to love deeply, celebrate often, and treasure every moment together. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.
