Shelia Slaton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shelia Ann Slaton, born on October 11, 1960, in Morgan City, Louisiana. She departed this life on April 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Shelia loved to spend her time at the casino, always looking for the next adventure and enjoying the thrill of the game. Her warmth and zest for life touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Shelia was a genuine spirit with a heart as big as Texas. She had a way of letting everyone know exactly how she felt, a quality that made her unforgettable to all who knew her. A passionate pool player, Shelia was known for her remarkable skills and the joy she found in the game.

Shelia is survived by her cherished husband, Tracy Slaton; her loving son, Tracy Slaton Jr.; and her sisters, Carol Lajaunie, Roberta Ford, and Arlene Alleman. She leaves behind countless memories of love and joy that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Sheila also leaves behind her cherished companion, her dog Chico.

Shelia was preceded in death by her parents, Orelian and Clara Fryou, and one brother, Leroy Fryou.

A memorial service to honor her memory will be held on May 10, 2025, from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm. All who knew and loved Shelia are invited to join in this heartfelt celebration of her life, as we gather to remember the profound impact she had on our lives.
