Susan Ann Roche Houck

Susan Ann Roche Houck, 54, a resident of Stephensville, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

Susan was born July 1, 1969, in Lafayette, the daughter of Joseph Harris Roche and Patsy Trahan Roche

Susan loved being on the water, whether it was fishing, crawfishing or just a day riding around in the boat, she was happy if she was outdoors. She was a great artist, enjoying drawing and painting. Of all her hobbies, spending time with her children and her grandson were at the top of her list. 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, Dustin Jade Houck and wife Megan Sureeya, Dylan Joshua Houck; significant other, Roderick “Roddy” Prestenback Sr.; stepson, Roderick Prestenbach Jr.; grandchild, Tatum Wayne Houck; three sisters, Sally Sorpono and husband Todd, Lisa Meaux and husband Mark, Deborah Byrd and husband Shane; one brother, David Roche and wife Fanny; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Patsy Roche; niece, Megan Chauvin; nephew, Zachary Pickens. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home, with Father Brett Lapeyrouse officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Susan will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
