Tippy Edward Lovell Sr.

Tippy Edward Lovell Sr., 68, a resident of Bayou L’Ourse, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Tippy was born January 10, 1954, in Morgan City, the son of Thomas Lovell and Verna Girior Guidry.

Tippy was a charismatic, loving man, who was full of life. Most people would say he was a character; he had a great sense of humor. Tippy enjoyed being out on the water; he loved going to the camp, fishing and shrimping. Although Tippy loved being in the outdoors, he enjoyed his time with his kids and grandkids more than anything. Tippy loved his family and took pride in them, he was a mamma’s boy through and through.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Laurie Clements Lovell of Bayou L’Ourse; three children, Tippy E. Lovell Jr. of Franklin, Chad E. Lovell and wife Danielle of Patterson, Stacy Lynn Lovell and significant other Dwight J. Caton Jr. of Bayou L’Ourse, step-daughter Taylor Murphy of Bayou L’Ourse; two sisters, Carolyn Walker and husband Joe of Patterson, Bonnie Vining and husband Joey of Gibson; 14 grandchildren, Justin, Dustin, Tippy III, Faith Angel, Cruiz, Charisma, Lily, Jasper, Gavin, Nicholas, Ava, Olivia, Gracie, and Kane; four great-grandchildren, Zadie, Jaxton, Carson, Tippy IV; one great-granddaughter on the way, Kora; fur-baby, Patches Lovell.

Tippy was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lovell and Verna Guidry; two brothers, Tommy Lovell and Cookie Lovell; granddaughter, Justice Lovell.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home with the funeral service being held at 7:30 p.m. with Andre Vinet officiating the services.
