Wanda K. Ware, age 76, passed away peacefully at home in Conroe, TX the evening of November 21, 2020 in the presence of her family and Hospice RN, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was preceded by her parents Edward and Edith Kern, son Bryan Usner and sister Shelia Kern.
She is survived by her husband Tom Ware, daughters Lisa Charpentier (Chad) and Cathy Dahlin (Michael), stepdaughters: Terri Glowe (Justin) and Christy Sears (Alex), stepson Wes Ware (Patty), sisters: Karen Davidson (Donald), Patsy Kern, Peggy Drown, brothers: Richard Kern (Joyce), and Glen Kern (Wanda), nieces & nephews: Dr. Jamie Michel (Kerry), Terry Davidson (Katherine), Michelle Himel (Billy), Nelson Folse (Melisa), Melisa Schoonover (Terry), Kerry Koester, Brent Kern, Yvonne Nunez, Leah Nicar, Sherri Dinger, Scotty Adkins and numerous Grand kids, nieces & nephews.
Wanda graduated Napoleonville HS and New Orleans Business College in Computer Processing; she also became a highly skilled seamstress and enjoyed making many many formal to casual clothes for family and numerous clients, while also working for McDermott, Resolution Trust Corp, Service Corp Intl, Texas Commerce Bk, Trans America Corp and numerous other Houston businesses as Admin Assistant. She thoroughly enjoyed sewing, cooking, skiing, dancing, the slots and reading – not necessarily in that order.
We are grateful for the care of Drs Dishman, Gawronski, Aquino and Paschalis and the teams of nurses at Bristol Home Health & Hospice.
A Rosary Service will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Twin City Funeral Home. Following the rosary, graveside services will be held in the Morgan City Cemetery with Father Toto Buenaflor officiating.
