William John Aucoin Sr., a native of Stephensville and a resident of Pierre Part, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
William was born July 7, 1934, the son of Felix Jim Aucoin and Emma Gros Aucoin.William cherished every moment spent fishing, hunting, and crabbing, always finding peace and happiness on the water in his boat.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 72 years, Enola Duval Aucoin; four children, William “Nitty” Aucoin Jr. (Cindy), Deborah Rodriguez and husband Tommy, Ellen Aucoin, Angela Tullier and husband Jaime; 12 grandchildren, Jamie, Shelley, Shannon, Rachel, Byron, Ryan, Kenny, Nicole, Celeste, Brett, Nicholas, and Alec; 19 great-grandchildren, Rayne, Miley, Adelyn, Remi, Asher, Blayes, Luke, William, Beau, Wade, Rory, Andrew, Jasper, Dwain, Seth, Kinlee, Kylee, Parker, and Zoe; one brother, Evert Aucoin.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Emma Aucoin; daughter, Sandra Aucoin Benoit; daughter-in-law, Nancy Aucoin; grandson, Drew Landry; sister, Elva Rock, five brothers, John, Louis, Lloyd, James, and Pierre Aucoin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 5:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m., at Twin City Funeral Home, and again Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of services. After services, William will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank Cardinal Hospice for caring for William, especially Katina and Callie. They would also like to thank Betty Gros and Bernice Aucoin for all of the help and support.
