William John Lapoint Sr., age 60, of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully. Born on December 8, 1964, in Jennings, Louisiana, William was a dedicated father, brother, and grandfather, whose vibrant spirit and love for life touched all who knew him.
He found joy in his grandchildren, often sharing laughter and stories about his love for the New Orleans Saints, a sports team he cherished deeply. William enjoyed playing poker, where he fostered connections with friends and family around the card table.
William lived a simple life, characterized by his unwavering love for his family and his beloved dogs. He will be remembered for his genuine nature and the warm affection he shared with those around him. William is survived by his sons, William LaPoint Jr. and wife Ronica and Trampas LaPoint and wife Kayla; his daughter, Ellysia Roy; his brothers, Alvin LaPoint Jr. and wife Christine and Tony LaPoint and wife Twila; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Sage, Bentley, Gracielyn, Kase, Kita, and Layla.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Linda LaPoint, and one, nephew Mark LaPoint.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, William will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
