Winnie Boudreaux Theriot

Winnie Marie Boudreaux Theriot, 82, a resident of Gibson, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at Terrebonne General Medical Center. 

Winnie was born March 8, 1942, in Morgan City, the daughter of Milton Boudreaux and Vivian Randall Boudreaux.

Winnie enjoyed a fulfilling life filled with various passions. From playing bingo to volunteering at nursing homes and hospices, Winnie devoted her time to helping others and making a difference in her community. She also served as a voting commissioner, ensuring that the voices of her fellow citizens were heard. In her free time, she found joy in cooking, fishing, and hunting, always eager to spend time outdoors with her family.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Craig Theriot Sr.; four children, Clifford Theriot, Victor Jones and wife Karen, Craig Theriot Jr. and wife Ruby Ann, Susan Theriot Murphy; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two on the way; sister, Wendy Vining. 

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, M.C., Alvin, Joey, and Merlin Boudreaux. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home with brother Jerry Jett officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Winnie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
